Pictured to the left is Dachau Death/Concentration Camp.
A while after Adolf Hitler was name Reich Chancellor, a concentration camp for political prisoners was made. March 22, 1933, two months after Adolf Hitler was named Reich Chancellor, Dachau was opened as a concentration camp for political prisoners. Sadly Dachau served as an Icon to later concentration camps. Auschwitz is a good example.
Dachau was in Germany 10.69 miles North West of Munich. Dachau served as the first Concentration Camp during World War Two; The first Jews were actually sent there only because of their political opinions/views.

Above the main gate are the words "Arbeit Macht Frei" ("Work Makes One Free")
Most believe that the saying 'Arbeit Macht Frei' that it was a disguise and to lure others into the camp. Most went in thinking they were going to work but never left.
